For candidates
Bring your tools. Show your engineering judgment.
A transparent assessment should let you understand the task, the permitted assistance, and how your work will be reviewed.
Your invitation confirms the duration, the tools you have, and what is collected before you begin. This page describes the experience around it.
- 01
Before you start
Review the task scope, expected time, permitted AI tools, and what is kept. You acknowledge that notice before your workspace opens. Ask the inviting employer for clarification if you need it, and do not upload confidential work from another employer.
- 02
During the work
Work through a bounded engineering task in an existing codebase. Use the permitted tools, test the behaviors you think matter, and make your assumptions and trade-offs explicit.
- 03
In the follow-up
Discuss your submitted work and consequential decisions. The purpose is to explore technical understanding, not to reward a memorized performance.
- 04
After the session
The employer reviews the assessment as one part of its hiring process. The privacy policy explains what was collected, who can access it, and how to ask questions or exercise relevant rights.
Know the standard before you start.
Every assessment is held to the same evaluation principles: work relevant to the role, findings traced to evidence, and people accountable for the decision.
